Original Painting – Avocet Study
Artwork by Sophie Parkhill | SP Wildlife Art
**Framing is the same as the Eagle Owl "Contemplation" in the photo's above**
The graceful Avocet, with its elegant black-and-white plumage and distinctive upturned bill, has long been a symbol of wetland conservation in the UK. This mini acrylic painting was inspired by Sophie's own reference photography and created as a delicate study of the bird’s striking form and reflection on the water.
Painted on Ampersand Gessobord using only professional-grade, archival and lightfast acrylics, this one-of-a-kind piece ensures both vibrancy and longevity. In 2025, Avocet Study was proudly exhibited at the prestigious Exhibition Wildlife Art (EWA), highlighting its value as a collectible artwork, and no prints will be created of this piece.
This original measures 7 x 5 inch and is professionally framed in a stunning bespoke white wooden frame, ready to hang and enjoy. The frame adds approximately 1 inch all around for a total size of 9 x 7 inch.
As with all SP Wildlife Art originals, it comes signed by the artist and includes a Certificate of Authenticity, an artwork care guide, and a special collector’s package — featuring a randomly selected goody bag of SP Wildlife Art cards and bookmarks, plus a 20% voucher for future limited edition fine art giclée prints.
