2. Original Paintings Purchased via Website

Damage Reporting
Damage must be reported within 24 hours of receipt, with photos of the artwork, frame, and packaging emailed to sophie@spwildlifeart.com.
Handling & Care Requirements
-
A care guide is provided and must be followed in full.
-
If pastel, do not touch the pastel surface or apply, or allow any framer to apply, any fixative/"setting spray" — damage resulting from this will not be eligible for any refund, return or replacement.
-
For frames with ARTGlass, only ammonia-free glass cleaner and a lint-free microfibre cloth must be used, as stated in the care guide. Damage to the anti-reflective coating caused by improper products will not be eligible for replacement, returns or refunds.
-
Damage from mishandling when hanging is not covered.
Change-of-Mind Returns
Returns requested for non-damaged artworks (e.g. due to a change of mind) must be returned using a tracked courier service equivalent to the original delivery method. Return postage is at the buyer’s expense.

3. In-Person Purchases (Exhibitions, Fairs & Galleries)
Items purchased in person — including original artworks, prints, and gift items — are non-returnable via SP Wildlife Art.
-
All items are sold as-seen and verified by the buyer at the point of sale directly through the venues and not through SP Wildlife Art.
-
Any payment discrepancies or refund queries must be directed to the venue where the item was purchased, as these sales are processed through third-party systems and do not reflect the amount the artist receives.

4. Limited Edition Giclée Prints
All giclée prints are sent with a care guide and handling gloves.
-
Do not touch the artwork directly.
-
Damage during framing or from exposure to damp or sunlight over time is not eligible for returns, refunds or replacements.
-
These archival prints can last over 100 years with no colour change, when cared for correctly, avoiding direct sunlight and damp conditions, framing behind UV protective glass where possible, ensuring acid-free materials are used when framing and no direct handling occurs (even skin oils can affect the longevity or smudge the print itself)

5. Commissions & Custom Pet Portraits

Eligibility for Return
Commissioned artworks are non-refundable unless damaged on arrival. Damage must be reported with photos to sophie@spwildlifeart.com within 48 hours of delivery.

Deposits
A 20% deposit is required to secure your booking. For complex or large-scale work, up to 50% may be requested. No spaces are confirmed until the deposit is paid and the contract is signed. Delays or date extensions due to late payments or unsigned contracts may occur during busy periods such as Christmas.
Deadlines & Availability
Commissions for special occasions (e.g. birthdays, Christmas) must be booked at least 6 weeks in advance. Specific completion dates are subject to prior commitments and cannot be moved forward.
